St. Francis Terquasquicentennial (175th) Blessing Celebration
All parishioners—past, present, and future—are invited to join us on Sunday, July 19, immediately following the 10:30 a.m. Mass, as we celebrate the 175th anniversary of the laying of the church’s cornerstone.
The celebration will begin in the mini-park and will include a special blessing, brief remarks, and the sealing of a time capsule. After the ceremony, everyone is invited to stay for yard games and a complimentary meal featuring pulled pork, chips, and cake, provided by the parish. Please bring a lawn chair if desired.
To commemorate this milestone, we will assemble a time capsule to be opened in 25 years. Each family is invited to contribute one 8½ × 11-inch sheet of paper (front side only) for inclusion. Looking for ideas? Use the insert provided or create your own! Consider including a family photo, favorite Bible verse, special traditions, favorite activities, or memories of parish life, such as the church picnic.
Time capsule submissions will be accepted beginning July 5 after all weekend Masses through the day of the celebration.
