The lector is the one who is given the task to proclaim the Word of God to the gathered assembly. Those who proclaim God’s Word should possess a clear and resonant voice and have the maturity to stand in front of people unafraid. Lectors are assigned on a monthly basis. A head lector is also assigned for each month. His/her responsibility is to call together the lectors assigned for a given month. Lectors are scheduled for each Sunday of the month once or twice a year. Sign-up is in May.
